Gloria Bertonis

Gloria Bertonis

Author, Gloria Bertonis has taught adult evening education classes on Psychology, Self-Esteem, Assertiveness, Stress-Management, and taught women's study groups. As the Director and Founder of the Whole Life Learning Center in Bucks County, PA, she provided courses in World Religions, World Cultures, World Philosophies and Psychology.

Gloria Bertonis has had color features in the local newspapers including The Philadelphia Inquirer and the Buck's County Courier Times and the Doylestown Intelligenser. She is the mother of six adult children, grandmother of eight children, and great grandmother to twelve children. Gloria continues to be a driving force in her community, through her current Guest Opinion Column for the local newspaper, and her lectures and speaking engagements on the subject of empowering women.

Gloria enjoys her world travels with her cherished companion, Ed Weiser. She also collects antiques, including dolls, jewelry, perfumes, and vintage clothing and accessories which she wears when lecturing on 'earlier generations of women who affected changes in history' which are held at the Bolton Mansion in Bucks County, PA

Carol Miranda

Carol Miranda

Co-author and Editor, Carol Miranda, sister to Gloria Bertonis, urged Gloria to put her ideas and conclusions into book form. Together we began the pursuit of information between sisters from coast to coast over ten years ago.

Carol is the mother of 4 daughters, and the grandmother to 9 children. She also has four stepchildren, 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren in their extended family. Carol lives in Silicon Valley and worked as an Executive Assistant for 25 years. She is also a professional high-style floral designer of Carol's Silk Art and the co-author and editor of this book. She is a three time cancer survivor.

Carol is retired and lives in San Jose, CA with her husband. Besides the happiness of being surrounded by her loving family and working on events, creative projects and custom high style floral art, Carol is in love with her Maltese, Samantha, and her wonderful grandchildren who keep her smiling at every opportunity.
